As the end of the year draws near, immigration remains a key issue area. We have spearheaded landmark policies such as the Liberian Refugee Immigration Fairness program (LRIF) and numerous Temporary Protected Status (TPS) campaigns under both Republican and Democratic administrations and remain committed to supporting Black immigrants. Regardless of the outcome of the upcoming election, UndocuBlack will continue advocating for immigration policies that protect and improve the lives of our community members.

The future of policies such as DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) and redesignations of TPS, which provide protection from deportation and work authorization to thousands of Black immigrants, remain uncertain. UndocuBlack will keep fighting to keep pivotal protections while assisting community members in navigating the current immigration system.

WE MUST ACT NOW TO CREATE A FUTURE WHERE OUR PEOPLE ARE NOT JUST SURVIVING BUT THRIVING.

Our #OngoingPossibilities Campaign is focused on transforming advocacy as we know it—highlighting the need for holistic support of Black undocumented immigrants and celebrating our collective resilience.

The #OngoingPossibilities Campaign calls for:

  • Permanent protections for all Black undocumented immigrants, especially those at risk of deportation

  • Immediate actions to halt deportations, specifically of those in vulnerable communities, including LGBTQ+ and immigrants with disabilities

  • An end to the over-policing and racial profiling of Black immigrants, which results in higher detention and deportation rates

  • Wellness support for Black immigrants facing the emotional and mental impact of the current immigration system and immigrant reality

  • Pathways to citizenship that recognize the unique struggles of Black immigrants and dismantle systemic anti-Blackness in immigration policies

  • Disrupting mainstream Black immigrant narratives by centering joy, resilience, and community-building

We have the opportunity to influence immigration policies that will protect Black undocumented immigrants for years to come. Your support is crucial in ensuring that Black immigrants are centered in the national conversation about immigration policy.

Your donation, no matter the size, will continue our advocacy, provide vital legal and social services, and directly support our #OngoingPossibilities Campaign.

“Thank you for standing with Black immigrants and supporting the fight for justice. Together, we can create lasting change.”
